I love galloping in my CWD saddle! Even when the conditions are less than ideal, this saddle keeps me in place and comfortable no matter what. It also helps to keep Charlie Tango’s back comfortable so he can perform at the top of his game as well. We love this saddle!
So proud of all of the babies this weekend and to Kaylawna Smith for piloting a handful around herself with excellent results!!
Fleeceworks Ghost finished 2nd in the Preliminary this weekend with Kaylawna. Only adding a couple time faults to XC in prep for her event in a couple of weeks. This is a super horse that is for sale and would make an ideal amateurs horse.
The Hokuspokus also made a great come back with Kaylawna finishing on his dressage score and earning 3rd in the Training division.
Cheers and Makemineadouble are really growing up and looking the part. They both had very good showings this weekend and we took it easy on the time to save their legs for when it counts.
MB Groups MaiStein felt relaxed and super all weekend. Looking forward to moving him up to Training level and qualifying for the 5 yr old YEH Championships!
Fleeceworks Andiamo made her Eventing debut this weekend and was a little keen to the jumps as she’s been jumping in the 1.40 7 yr old classes, but she made quick work of her XC round and had a blast doing it. Super proud of her transition and future of this cool little mare!
Congrats to Kris Wood and her two boys Freetoagoodhome and Sherlock. These two OTTBs are some special animals and it was awesome to see them have such a great weekend!
Still reliving one of the most memorable weekends. Thank you to everyone who kept Wembley and I looking stylish and feeling protected on the cross country course. Fleeceworks Frilly Fillies Horse BonnetsProfessional’s Choice Devoucoux Total Saddle Fit MDC Stirrups FLAIR Equine Nasal Strips We couldn’t do it without you all! I never leave the start box outfitted in anything else.
Check out those incredible feet. No not mine, but Wembley’s! His feet are kept strong and sturdy thanks to the amazing Sound Hoof Conditioner product. Their special formula is easily applied and does not leave behind any sticky residues leaving their feet looking amazing as well. I love this product!
What a weekend, what a team and what a horse! Last weekend Tamie and Gretchen and Kevin Baumgardner’s Wembley completed the Land Rover Kentucky Three Day Event in flying form with a spectacular finish. Tamie feels so grateful to Kevin and his wife Gretchen for allowing her to ride their special unicorn of a horse and she is eternally grateful for their kindness and determination to get Wembley to Kentucky!
Their week started off with a beautiful dressage test that landed Tamie in the top three at the conclusion of day 1 and set her up perfectly for the weekend. Tamie is go grateful to Niki Clarke for helping prepare her for this phase so well. Without her, that test would not have been what it was. Then, Tamie and Wembley turned in a clear round on Saturday with just a few seconds of time penalties to cement their placing, even more, heading into the final day.
After prancing through the final trot up with ease, Tamie and Wembley jumped a marvelous show jumping round barley ticking the final rail out of its cups to finish in the top 15 at the end of the weekend! It was a fantastic result for a fantastic pair. Wembley really showed he has the heart of a champion and Tamie piloted him so well in all phases.
It was not only a special weekend because of their finish, but also because of all those who were there to support them. There are far too many to name, but each and every one of you played a part in the pair’s success and Tamie could not be any more grateful. It takes a village and Tamie and Wembley had the best and loudest one in Kentucky.
Tamie would also like to say thank you to her sponsors for helping her perform her best. Your continued support means the world to her and also a massive thank you to her friends for always believing in her, knowing her heart, knowing her desire, and for their understanding throughout all of the ups and downs of this sport! Tamie could not have done it without you all.
Now, Wembley will head back west for a very well earned vacation. She is looking forward to seeing her NLE family and getting right back to work as they prepare for the Galway Downs Horse Trials. Last weekend truly was one to remember and one that Tamie will most definitely never forget.
A big thank you to all of NLE’s Sponsors:
I love Coat Defense‘s special paste. I use it religiously in the barn on all my horses to help clear up any problem areas where fungus may be brewing. My horses have never had clearer skin and I know it is because we started using Coat Defense!
Next Level Eventing sure has had a busy and successful start to the 2018 season! As spring is now here and the cobwebs have been dusted off, the horses are feeling better than ever! NLE competed at Twin Rivers Winter Horse Trials earlier this month. It sure was a wet weekend but the horses acted like champs in the less than ideal weather. A huge thank you goes out to Twin Rivers for making the weekend a great one!
In the Advanced division, Tamie rode all three of her horses to sub 30 scores in the dressage! Wembley owned by Kevin Baumgardner took home the blue ribbon! Fleeceworks Royal owned by Judith McSwain finished in third. Following right behind was Sunsprite Syrius owned by Sunsprite Warmbloods who impressively finished his first advanced in fourth place.
In the Open Intermediate division, Heather rode the Team Express Group’s Charlie Tango to a wire to wire win. The pair scored a 24.1 in dressage, had a double clean stadium round, and finished off their weekend with a great cross country ride! MB MaiBlume owned by MB Group LLC successfully completed her first Intermediate with Tamie in the irons.
Quickly after, the team headed off to Copper Meadows Winter Horse Trials. In the Open Intermediate division, Graceland’s Liebling owned by Peggy Moore finished in 3rd and in the Open Preliminary division, Fleeceworks Ghost owned by Judith McSwain won their division. Makemineadouble, owned by Linda Paine, also had a strong finish and Heather rode Cheers, also owned by Linda Paine, to a top finish as well.
Next Level Eventing then headed off to Galway Downs International Horse Trials this last weekend where Tamie added to her already impressive 2018 results. The big winner of the weekend was Sunsprite Syrius as he won his CIC3* debut with three superb phases!! Tamie was so proud of this young horse and thrilled with the way he stepped up to the plate. She also rode his barn mate Wembley in the 3* as well in preparation for said April show in Kentucky coming up. Her impressive FEI results continued with Graceland’s Liebling picking up a sixth place finish in her first 2*.
In addition, Fleecework’s Ghost also added to his stellar resume with a second place finish in the Prelim in only his second start at the level. It capped off what was a stellar weekend for the entire team and one that they will remember. NLE is so grateful to everyone from their sponsors to their incredible owners for allowing them to ride such spectacular horses. With the amazing group of people and horses behind them, 2018 is going to be an exciting year for NLE!
